This Myler Stainless Steel 7" Flat Shank with Sweet Iron Correctional Copper Inlay Mouth is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes or rusts. Harmless to horses, it has a sweet taste and promotes salivation. This Myler bit is good for collection and stopping. It offers the horse a "comfort zone" when relaxed at the poll. Bit also works well on spoiled horses and horses which run through the bit.

Design: The shank consists of a length of metal with two rings and a fixed mouhtpiece attachment. The mouthpiece is curved with two joints and upward-curved piece in the center. Port measures 2".

Function:

Shanks are used for leverage and, typically, with a curb strap or chain.
